The believe is that organizations would take responsibility and care in regards to the populations health and welfare.
I/we believe that it is a responsible action to educate oneself for the benefit of family and community alike.
If one had a choice of using a product with know toxins or a product with no toxins, which one would be the choice.
Example of smoking, a decade and more ago smoking was not exposed to be harmful. After long term studies, patients, and research the direct link of smoking to cancer has been exposed
The choice is your!
The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) analyzed only 2,983 chemicals used in personal care products.
The results concluded:
884 of the chemicals were toxic short and long term (also depends on body/fat mass)
314 caused biological mutation
218 caused reproductive complications
778 caused acute toxicity
148 caused tumors
376 caused skin and eye irritations
Manufactures are not required to list the exact ingredients on the label. Chemical names are often disguised by using innocuous “trade names”. Example formaldehyde has 75 different “trade names” that can be used on product labels.
The chemical listed on the label may not be recognized for what it is.
Even when the harsh and dangerous active ingredients are listed on the package, oftentimes the ingredients are lumped into a category known as “inert”. This may lead one to believe that these ingredients are non toxic and non hazardous. Many of the different chemicals labeled as “inert” ingredients are more harmful than the active ingredients.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does not require manufactures to identify most of the inert chemicals or disclose their potential harmful effects.
In the regards to warning labels, a New York study found that 85% of personal care and household products they examined had incorrect warning labels. These labels did not have any information on the negative effects of long term exposure to these chemicals.
How are we suppose to make an intelligent decision to bring these products home when we do not know what ingredients are really in the products?
Chemicals that are in personal care and household products can cause death, cancer, central nervous system disorders, learning disorders, birth defects, respiratory illness, and many other health conditions.
Manufactures do not list long-term effect health effects on the packages and are not required to list the ingredients. Even if the ingredients were listed on the label, the average consumer would not recognize the chemical name for a hazardous ingredient.
Here is a short list of the average product effect that can be purchased at the local market.
Air Freshener- toxic, may cause cancer, irritation of nose, throat and lungs
Disinfectant-toxic, causes skin, throat, and lung burns, coma

Back to formaldehyde, a couple other names for formaldehyde are formlin, urea formaldehyde, phenol formaldehyde. The are many other trade names for formaldehyde.
Formaldehyde has been linked to a rare form of nasopharyngeal cancer and research is done on the cancers of the throat and lungs.
Epidemiological studies have shown the association between formaldehyde and leukemia but scientists have not been able to show how this occurs.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had ranked formaldehyde a “probable” human carcinogen, The World Health Organization upgraded its classification to a “known” concluding that formaldehyde “is carcinogenic to humans!”
There is plenty more information in regards to this topic at my fingertips if you would like more.
I am including references below so that you can educate yourself on these and other topics.
The question is, do people open the windows and put on the fans when cleaning, especially when it is 20 degrees outside?
Where do the chemicals go when we open the windows, outside?
These chemicals are toxic to us and we just do not rid of these toxins, they are usually stored in our cells and that is of adult size. What about the small children and babies that are around these toxins?
We can only store so much of these toxins without having a reaction ie, sensitivity, asthma, cancer,
fibromyalgia ( known cause is overload of toxins in the body) the list goes on and on and I could write on and on about these topics.

I would rather buy true green and not let toxins float in the air in my home or open my windows and pollute my neighbors air.
